The Fallen Goblet

Biography

Born in 1992, Kalinda Witchey grew up near the remains of a long extinct volcano now known as Wollumbin Mt.Warning and surrounded by a region called Australia's Green Cauldron.

From a young age, Witchey revealed a strong affinity and passion for observing nature and animals.

After being seriously bitten by the worlds second most venomous snake (the Eastern Brown snake) at the age of nine, she launched into painting to express what words could not portray for someone so close to death.

In 2019 Witchey began her formal studies at Julian Ashton Art School Sydney, where she studied the fundamentals of academic drawing and painting from life.

She has studied online with Michelle Tully and Krista Schoening through Studio Escalier, Paris and Tobias Hall through Teaching studios, New York.

Witchey continues to attend workshops under artist Andrew Bonneau.

Witchey loves to paint her chosen subject matter from life.
